Today is a day for true celebration! We are beyond thrilled to announce that, thanks to your incredible support and the power of our community, we have successfully raised $28,000 in our recent fundraising drive. Not only did we hit our $25,000 goal, but we pushed right past it by an extra $3,000! This organic groundswell of support is a testament to what we can achieve when we ride together for a vision that matters.
By meeting this $25,000 challenge from The Bolger Foundation, we have unlocked the next major phase of our mission. With the challenge officially met, the foundation is now releasing an additional $50,000 specifically for the build-out of the Scraper BART Wellness Center. This project—converting a retired BART car into a community hub at Elmhurst/Willie Wilkins Park—is becoming a reality because you showed up and stepped up.
We also want to extend a massive thank you to The Bolger Foundation for their unwavering belief in our work. In addition to this successful challenge, they have donated a total of $100,000 toward the project. This brings us closer than ever to creating a safe, vibrant space for our youth to learn, grow, and keep the Scraper Bike culture alive. Today, we celebrate this win with all of you. Let’s keep this momentum rolling as we build the future of Oakland together!
